Performance Metrics metrics are normalized metrics produced on a monthly basis measured at the category level which can be directly compared to performance metrics to sites within the category. Performance Metrics represent the weighted average of the constituent sites within it.

Performance Metrics for the category can be used as a benchmark to measure the performance of the sites within the respective category. For instance, if the "Visits/Person" for "Category X" is "10" in a month, and your competitors site is getting "20" while you are getting "2", you know that you are both under-performing the benchmark while your competitor is over-performing.
